product. Our SimAngus Composites are the most balanced way to
achieve the 50% British- 50%Continental crossbreed cow that excels
in a commercial cow herd. With this in mind, we do everything we can
to provide you with the genetics that will work in your environment.
We feel proven pedigrees are vital to this plan, therefore we
utilize AI and ET in hundreds of cattle annually in order to produce
top of the line genetics in volume. Our desire to build upon quality

 Justin
Rhodes is our cow herd manager and is very important to ranch
operations. He thoroughly enjoys the genetics and if you have any
questions he can answer them. Justin's enthusiasm for the cattle is
matched with his passion to help produce “do-able ” females designed
in such a way that when they leave Sunflower Genetics they can go to
work on any farm. His background in both phenotypical and
genotypical assessment has earned him awards in junior and
collegiate judging competitions including national recognition with the Southwest Missouri State Livestock Judging Team. Those
accolades are now implemented in practical ways everyday at
Sunflower Genetics as Justin works alongside Steve to consider
exceptional bloodlines and successful crosses.
